Job Summary
Lead Preschool Teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for children aged 3–5, assess progress through observation and documentation, differentiate instruction for mixed-age/ability groups, and scaffold learning to support school readiness. Responsibilities include maintaining organized, engaging classrooms, fostering cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development, mentoring an assistant teacher, communicating with families, and ensuring compliance with state ratios (up to 1:12 for younger preschoolers and 1:17 for older preschoolers). Requires experience teaching preschool and a background in Early Childhood Education; certifications in Health & Safety and First Aid/CPR are required or willing to obtain.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching preschool-aged children (ages 3–5)
- Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) the free 15-hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification before orientation
- Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification
- Availability to work either the 6:00 AM–3:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM shift as needed
- Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or related educational background preferred
