Job Summary
The Lethbridge Police Service is seeking experienced police officers with a minimum of 2 years of policing experience. Eligible candidates must hold at least an Alberta Grade 12 education, citizenship or permanent residency, and provide a clean driver's abstract. The recruitment involves a comprehensive process including physical readiness evaluations, integrity testing, and background checks. Successful applicants may receive up to $5000 in relocation assistance, and salaries range based on years of service, with competitive hourly rates for Constables.
Required Qualifications
- Current sworn police officer or former police officer separated for less than 2 years
- Minimum of Alberta Grade 12 or equivalent education
- Proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
- Valid driver's abstract with no more than five demerit points
- No criminal record or pending criminal charges
- Exemplary record of service and performance history
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Alberta Communication Test (ACT)
- Completion of Alberta Police Cognitive Ability Test (APCAT)
- First Aid Certification
Additional Requirements
- Special Constables and members of a police agency outside Canada are not eligible for the Experienced Officer Training Program.
