Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances while ensuring all work complies with industry standards and company protocols. Engage customers in meaningful conversations to educate them on system improvements, upgrades, or repairs that benefit them in the long run. Identify and present product recommendations based on customer needs, then close sales for system upgrades, new equipment installations, and preventative maintenance plans. Establish rapport by handling objections professionally and providing clear, honest advice. Generate new business through referrals, follow-ups, and actively seeking service opportunities while on the job. Collaborate with dispatch and sales teams for timely scheduling and seamless lead follow-up. Meet and exceed personal sales goals while maintaining high technical standards. Work flexible schedules including evenings and rotational weekends, with weekend shifts offering a higher commission percentage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 3+ years of Plumbing Service experience
- 1+ years of proven success in selling direct to homeowners via in-home presentation
- Journeyman License (preferred)
- Strong sales, customer service, and closing skills
- Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills
- Assertive and confident personality
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks accurately
- Commitment to company values
- Ability to climb into and through attics and crawl spaces
- Ability to work outside and in extreme temperatures
- Must have a clean driving record
- Basic computer skills
- Reliable & punctual attendance
- Ability to be flexible in working a variable schedule including evenings and rotational weekends
- Fluent ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
- Candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background check
