Experienced Plant Care & Pruning Crew Leader

Job Summary
Supervise and lead pruning and plant care crews on a daily basis, overseeing structural and ornamental pruning of trees, shrubs, and hedges. Train team members on proper techniques, plant identification, and care standards while ensuring all work meets company and client expectations. Monitor plant health to diagnose pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, then implement care programs including fertilization and integrated pest management. Conduct site inspections, enforce safety policies, and communicate with clients regarding recommendations and service updates. Full-time Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekends during peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or plant care
- Strong knowledge of plant identification, pruning techniques, and plant health care practices
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to diagnose plant health issues and recommend solutions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in horticulture, arboriculture (e.g., ISA Certified Arborist), or related field
- Experience with plant health care programs and pesticide application licensing
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
