Experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, infections, and minor injuries in outpatient and inpatient settings. Order and interpret diagnostic lab work, x-rays, and EKGs, while prescribing medications and treatment modalities as needed. Counsel patients on disease processes, treatments, and expected outcomes to ensure proper education. Provide comprehensive, coordinated care as an extension of primary care physicians within a collaborative team comprising family practice and internal medicine doctors, nurse case managers, and clinic staff. Track performance using metrics aligned with the organization's strategic direction and operational needs. Requires current licensure through the Georgia Board, prescriptive authority, BLS certification, and at least two years of primary care experience.
