Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical status to develop tailored treatment plans and create therapeutic interventions aligned with physician orders. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, including evaluation results and discharge summaries, while supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high-quality delivery. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment approaches based on patient progress. Work with a diverse population recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions in a full-time onsite role at our Portsmouth, Virginia rehabilitation center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in documentation and healthcare software
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years' experience working in a physical therapy setting
- Experience with various treatment modalities and advanced therapeutic techniques
