Job Summary
Assess patients' physical condition and develop tailored individualized treatment plans focusing on rehabilitation goals. Administer therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercises, and modalities while instructing patients on safe exercise performance. Utilize EMR software, particularly WebPT, to document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes with precision. Maintain a manageable case load to ensure adequate time for in-depth evaluations and follow-ups. Actively educate patients and families about recovery processes and preventative measures. Collaborate with occupational therapists and specialists in team meetings to discuss care strategies and interventional plans. Continuously evaluate patient outcomes and modify treatment strategies to ensure the highest standard of care. Document all services in compliance with clinic protocols. This role supports orthopedic conditions, post-operative recovery, and sports-related injuries within our state-of-the-art outpatient clinic in Charlottesville, operating Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia (VA).
- No history of sanctions or board proceedings.
- Strong foundation in orthopedic outpatient care.
- Exceptional manual therapy skills.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Strong commitment to accurate documentation practices.
- A thorough understanding of contemporary physical therapy principles.
- Ongoing professional development.
