Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations to assess patient needs, establish treatment goals, and implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities tailored to individual recovery plans. Monitor and document patient progress while adjusting strategies as necessary, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Advise patients and families on home care management and assistive device usage to enhance mobility and independence. Provide specialized care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends through professional development and contribute to continuous improvement in treatment practices.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field
- A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and documentation software
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting
- Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation
- Familiarization with diverse patient populations
