Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments using standardized tests to evaluate muscle performance and functional capacity. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, regularly adjusting approaches based on ongoing evaluations. Administer therapeutic treatments including manual therapy, exercises, and modalities like electrical stimulation or ultrasound. Provide education to patients and families regarding self-management techniques and home exercise programs. Consult with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to refine rehabilitation protocols and equipment recommendations. Supervise non-professional staff and therapy aides to ensure consistent care quality. Focus primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Current licensure in the State of California as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in orthopedic physical rehabilitation
- A clean record free of disciplinary actions or board sanctions
- Demonstrated expertise in a variety of manual therapy techniques
- The ability to develop effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs
