Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments and design tailored treatment programs using manual therapy and exercise science. Document progress meticulously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Engage with patients and families to provide education and home exercise programs, fostering active participation in recovery. Work with diverse populations including orthopedic, sports, pediatric, and neurological cases to enhance functional independence. Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- A valid State License in Physical Therapy
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on ensuring patient understanding and engagement
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer applications relevant to patient management
- Ability to develop strong rapport with patients, enhancing their recovery experience
- Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy
- At least two years of direct experience in physical therapy settings
- Current CPR certification is a requisite
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is highly preferred
- Specific experience with outpatient rehabilitation, particularly in treating sports medicine, orthopedics, and pediatric populations
