Experienced Phlebotomist, Region/Float (Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem)

Job Summary
Interpret physician orders and obtain blood specimens from patients of all ages using appropriate collection equipment. Handle and process lab specimens while adhering to safety protocols and departmental policies. Perform outpatient EKGs as needed, operate centrifuges, and ensure proper specimen transfer and storage. Communicate timely with the outpatient lab central scheduler, regional coordinators, and managers. Travel between sites when required for unscheduled absences or emergencies. Review and comply with all Network and departmental policies and procedures on an ongoing basis. Work full-time (36-40 hours) or part-time shifts, including every third Saturday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy program completion certificate or documented competency through a recognized training program
- Minimum of 100 successful venipunctures
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to accurately use Epic or other electronic health record systems, registration tools, kiosk workflows, and related laboratory applications
- Reliable transportation to arrive at work locations as scheduled
- Employment history for the past seven (7) years
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- One year of phlebotomy experience
- Experience with outpatient laboratory workflows, patient service center operations, specimen collection, specimen handling, processing, registration, and patient identification practices
- Experience using Epic or another electronic health record, registration, or laboratory information system
