Job Summary
Experienced paralegal sought to support civil defense litigation in healthcare malpractice and casualty defense. Key duties include obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing documents (medical, financial, tax, and employment records); creating detailed medical and factual chronologies; preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files; compiling evidence through discovery documents, transcripts, records, libraries, and databases; managing and organizing electronic and physical case files; coordinating with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and support services; generating status reports and case indexes; and conducting legal and medical research while analyzing expert materials and qualifications. Required are 3–5 years of litigation/casualty paralegal experience and a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree; a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred. The role emphasizes excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
