Job Summary
Assess patient goals and health needs to craft individualized therapy plans, then manage a dedicated caseload providing one-on-one therapy for an hour per patient. Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance range of motion, strength, and mobility through specialized techniques tailored for orthopedic conditions, while actively reducing medication dependence via alternative treatments. Design comprehensive care plans incorporating various modalities and exercises, conduct follow-up evaluations to monitor progress and modify approaches based on quantitative outcomes, and maintain meticulous documentation of all activities. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach and encourage patient adherence to fitness programs. This role supports recovery from orthopedic injuries, sports injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic pain within our outpatient practice.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Medical Association in preparation for certification.
- A valid state license as a Physical Therapist, ensuring compliance with Virginia regulations.
- A minimum of one-year experience in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic setting is essential to apply advanced therapeutic techniques effectively.
Desired Qualifications
- While not mandatory, candidates with experience in sports rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, and knowledge of current therapeutic modalities will be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and experience in developing community outreach programs is a plus.
