Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals and limitations, then design individualized treatment plans for orthopedic patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic pain. Manage a caseload efficiently by providing one-on-one therapy sessions that implement evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities. Develop fitness and wellness programs to improve strength and flexibility, while documenting progression meticulously and collaborating with physicians and occupational therapists. Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and self-management strategies to promote long-term health and prevent future injuries. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within a collaborative team of licensed therapists and assistants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
- A valid physical therapist license in the state of Florida, with a clean professional record
- Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Ability to craft complex exercise protocols that address specific orthopedic challenges
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Demonstrated experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Strong understanding of recovery protocols for musculoskeletal conditions
- Proficiency in research-based practice
- Ongoing education in emerging treatment techniques
