Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments using standardized tools and design individualized treatment plans addressing mobility, strength, and functional goals. Utilize therapeutic modalities, manual therapy, and exercise regimens to facilitate recovery for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, fractures, and sports injuries. Document progress, adjust protocols, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including physicians and occupational therapists. Engage in clinical teaching, mentoring interns and staff, and prepare in-service training sessions on advancements in orthopedic physical therapy. Maintain current research and best practices to optimize patient care outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active New Jersey State Physical Therapy license
- Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation
- Strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and interventions specific to orthopedic physical therapy
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective patient interactions and teamwork
- Onsite work at the rehabilitation center in North Bergen, New Jersey
Desired Qualifications
- Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documenting patient care
- Involvement in clinical research and knowledge of current trends in physical therapy practices
