Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' conditions to establish accurate diagnoses and tailor individualized therapy plans addressing immediate and long-term rehabilitation goals. Utilize evidence-based modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and ultrasound to facilitate recovery and enhance patient mobility. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, modifying treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimum achievements are realized throughout their rehabilitation journey. Provide patients with education about their health conditions and develop detailed home exercise programs that encourage independent recovery management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care for each patient. Work primarily with patients dealing with orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, acute sports injuries, chronic pain management, and general musculoskeletal conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution
- A current and valid California state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy techniques relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Adeptness in both independent and cooperative team-based approaches to care delivery
Desired Qualifications
- 3 or more years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in orthopedic outpatient settings
- Hands-on experience with post-surgical patients, sports rehabilitation, and chronic pain therapies
