Job Summary

Oversee daily site operations to ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children while maintaining licensing, safety, and accreditation standards. Lead a team of educators through mentorship, lesson planning support, and regular performance observations to foster collaboration and communication. Manage budgets, schedules, and resources while handling hiring, onboarding, and staff file maintenance. Build strong relationships with families by communicating regularly, listening to concerns, and coordinating support services. Maintain optimal enrollment through inquiries, school tours, and follow-ups. Participate in community initiatives and fundraising events as needed. Work evenings and weekends as required, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Director/Administrative credential
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
  • CPR and first aid certifications
  • Minimum 5 years of classroom experience
  • Deep understanding of child development, early childhood curriculum, classroom management, and developmentally-appropriate best practices
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Child Care Regulations, minimum standards, Texas Rising Star requirements, and NAEYC best practices
  • Demonstrated highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families, and build trusting relationships
  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Google Workspace, with the ability to efficiently create, manage, and collaborate on documents and projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of inclusion and experience serving children with special needs
