Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in intraoperative settings, including initial and ongoing health status assessments. Delegate tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act while documenting interventions and patient outcomes. Participate in multidisciplinary process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality and safety as a High Reliability Organization. Requires a current Ohio RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of recent acute hospital experience. Commit to a 30-minute on-call response time with variable shifts totaling 24 weekly hours. BSN required after five years of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state
- BLS certification
- BSN required at 5 years of employment
- Must have recent experience working as a staff nurse in an intraoperative setting (greater than 1 year)
- Must commit to on-call responsibilities with a firm 30-minute response time
- at least one year of previous, recent RN experience in an acute hospital setting
