Job Summary
Assist patients in selecting spectacles, providing education on quality choices, lens options, and frame styling to fit their lifestyle and prescription; calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility; accurately enter spectacle orders and monitor status to ensure timely delivery; receive orders, verify accuracy, notify patients, and schedule dispensing; follow up with patients on adaptation to eyewear and prescribed contacts; perform spectacle adjustments and repairs; troubleshoot patient concerns with eyewear; educate patients on care of prescribed eyewear; maintain optical inventory and displays, including lab supplies, and monitor patient flow throughout appointments.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Optician certification or licensing preferred
- customer service experience
- retail sales experience
- ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- standing/walking for extended periods
