Job Summary
Experienced Metrology Test & Evaluation Engineer sought for Boeing’s BT&E team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves developing calibration systems, designing and building test fixtures, programming software, and developing procedures to test new equipment. Responsibilities include calibration data analysis, measurement uncertainty evaluations, creation of calibration procedures, maintenance of traceability and reference standards, development of test methods and data-processing tools, and preparing test reports. Candidate will work with factory engineers, vendors, and internal customers to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements and to support metrology systems throughout the test and evaluation process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience with dimensional, force, mass, pressure, linear measurements, temperature, vacuum, and/or other physical metrology processes
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in project management
- Quality standards familiarity — Boeing QMS, AS9100 and other applicable standards
- Experience with calibration data analysis
- Ability to obtain US Security Clearance
- Strong collaboration with customers and internal teams
