Job Summary
Experienced Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join The Boeing Company IDE Team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves developing mechanical engineering designs and analyses, creating technical data packages, test plans and post-test reports, producing cost reduction proposals with ROI analysis, leading supplier development and production support, directing engineering release processes, and mentoring junior engineers. The candidate will lead the development and validation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal system designs, manage cross-functional coordination, and contribute to the improvement of design processes. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, knowledge of aerospace structures and GD&T, experience with NX and/or Creo, and the ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. Relocation is not negotiable for this position; US citizenship is required. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials) or equivalent
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Knowledge of aerospace structures, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes
- Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to interpret functional requirements and apply to products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to produce high quality engineering products
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a US security clearance ( interim/final)
