Job Summary
Perform non-standard engineering, design, development, analysis, and field task execution while independently evaluating and adapting technical techniques for new assignments. Ensure compliance with government, industry, and customer standards, and provide suggestions for process improvements. Work autonomously with minimal instruction, resolving quality events and special projects as directed while maintaining a safety mindset. This role supports Framatome's mission to deliver clean nuclear energy solutions powering millions of homes across North America. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least three years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Displays informal leadership characteristics
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
- Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role
- Maintain a safety mindset
- Ensures compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards
- Receives minimal assistance and instruction and works autonomously on most assignments and solutions
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed
- Continues to develop knowledge of organization, processes and customers
- Provides suggestions for improving processes and implementing process improvements
- Works on special projects, as directed
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical and construction experience (including piping, electrical knowledge, equipment layout and testing and commissioning of new processes and equipment)
- Machine design and manufacturing methods experience (Process equipment design, HVAC system design, Machining, Sheetmetal, Welding, Forming etc)
- Familiarity with Solidworks and/or AutoCAD
- Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables) and is able to adapt with flexibility
