Job Summary
Ensure completion of all apartment turnovers, assisting with minor construction projects and renovations. Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests, diagnosing and resolving issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs while documenting work in Yardi Voyager software. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to identify potential problems and maintain property cleanliness and curb appeal. Coordinate with vendors for parts and materials, strategically plan unit turnovers with your team, and keep storage facilities organized. This role supports day-to-day operations at a Lease-up community in Santa Cruz, CA, requiring Tues-Sat 9AM-6PM coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in multifamily property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to take initiative, working with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High Sense of urgency while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Candidate must be able to work in an environment in which demands and priorities change rapidly.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Yardi property management software (a plus).
