Job Summary
Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and handle basic repairs. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them while repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary. Work on ladders and perform snow removal, including operation of snowplows, spreaders, and John Deere bucket loaders. Assist in emergency matters ranging from fire safety procedures to on-call service, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and timely according to work orders. Comply with company safety regulations and operate with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of related experience
- CT State Motor Vehicle Driver's License
- Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Snow removal required
- Willing to learn to operate different equipment such as snowplow, spreader and John Deere bucket loaders
- Be able to perform with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Trade School preferred
- knowledge of the trade's equivalent to 4 years vocational school training
