Job Summary
Experienced Machine Operator needed to safely operate high-speed production machines, perform setup and minor adjustments, conduct quality checks, and assist with machine maintenance and changeovers. Responsibilities include keeping the work area organized, interpreting blueprints, reading production sheets, adhering to OSHA safety standards, and communicating with team leaders. Must be able to read calipers/micrometers, manage tooling changes, and handle heavy lifting. Shift is Monday-Thursday nights (8:30pm–7am); Columbus, OH manufacturing site; on-site, in-person work with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Prior machine operator experience in a technical set up role, in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must be familiar with computer operated equipment
- Must be able to communicate technical information of machinery (speed, pressure, feed, torque)
- Must be able to determine acceptable machinery performance and communicate steps to bring to standard
- Must be able to read and follow multistep procedures
- Must be able to use a caliper, micrometer, and a tape measure
- Must be able to read and understand measurements written in decimal form
- Ability to work while standing for long periods; heavy lifting up to 60 pounds
- Team work and/or independent work capability; take direction from others
