Job Summary

Line Cook/Prep Cook duties include preparing meal ingredients as directed by the executive chef, preparing fresh produce, trimming and portioning meat, preparing simple dishes such as breads or salads, making condiments, dressings and sauces, and maintaining health and safety compliance. Assists with unloading, inspection and storage of raw ingredients and supplies; requires weekend and holiday availability. Education: high school or vocational coursework in kitchen basics preferred. Experience: at least 2 years related experience preferred. Skills: basic sanitation and food handling knowledge, ability to work in a high-paced environment, teamwork. Physical: prolonged standing, exposure to heat/steam/cold, lift up to 15 pounds. Location: Longmont, CO. Salary: $18-$24 per hour ($37,440-$49,920 annually). HFWA sick pay compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics such as food safety, preferred
  • At least 2 years prior related experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
  • Basic understanding of food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
