Job Summary
Repair or replace defective parts on machinery by disassembling components, cleaning parts, and inspecting them to control repair costs. Test, diagnose, and adjust equipment failures while creating repair estimates and submitting information to substantiate quotes. Prepare parts requisitions, time cards, and service reports, ensuring they are legible and accurate for service accounting. Monitor job expenses against estimates to identify cost overruns and assume lead person responsibilities as necessary. Demonstrate utilization of dealer computer systems for work orders and documentation while maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe work environment. Maintain required tools and stay current with technical changes in the industry.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material
- Communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers
- Must posses a valid Class D Driver's License
- Work Schedule - Work is typically performed during regular business hours with occasional requirements to work nights, holidays and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- A specialized technical course or equivalent years experience as a Technician
