Experienced Lead Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
Lead a preschool classroom by promoting readiness, social-emotional development, and language and literacy skills while mentoring assistant teachers and coordinating with families. Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, lead circle time and learning centers, support pre-literacy and numeracy, track student progress with observation/assessment tools, ensure alignment with NAEYC standards, supervise staff, maintain classroom organization and safety, and actively engage families through updates, conferences, and events. Requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or in progress) and 1–2 years of licensed preschool experience. Strong communication, collaboration with families and administrators, and a passion for young children are essential. Desirable experience with Reggio Emilia or Montessori models, knowledge of licensing regulations, and inclusive/differentiated instruction practices.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required or in progress)
- Minimum 1–2 years of classroom experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center
- Proven ability to lead classroom activities and routines with confidence and consistency
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning domains, and early intervention best practices
- Effective communication skills with children, families, and co-workers
- A love for young children and a commitment to their growth and well-being
