Job Summary
Experienced Layout Carpenter / Surveyor responsible for planning, reviewing blueprints and scope with project coordinators and superintendents, ensuring layout and elevation requirements are met, maintaining and applying as-builts, coordinating survey checks, and documenting project progress. Requires proficiency with blueprints and construction drawings, use of Trimble Robotic Total Station and AutoCAD for layout work, and strong organizational and communication skills. Will work on long-term, year-round projects in Cold Lake, AB, with on-site responsibilities including maintaining equipment, ensuring site cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols (WHMIS 2015, SCOT/CSTS, Fall Protection).
Required Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Carpenter or equivalent non-ticketed experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings
- Experience with layout work preparation in AutoCAD
- Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Station and other survey equipment and tools
- WHMIS 2015 (can provide if needed)
- SCOT or CSTS (can provide if needed)
- Fall Protection ticket
