Job Summary
Experienced Laborer needed in Chambersburg, PA to perform varied construction tasks across utility-focused projects. Responsibilities include adhering to OSHA and site safety policies, acquiring tools, measuring distances and grades, mixing concrete, finishing cement, aligning and sealing pipe sections, erecting scaffolding and shoring, performing paving duties (markings, finishing, operating equipment, directing traffic), pipe installation tasks (laser setup, backfilling, cutting). Requires the ability to work in a crew under supervision, travel between tasks as needed, and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred experience in heavy civil construction or road work and OSHA safety certifications. Required Qualifications
- One month of related experience and/or training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Problem solving
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
