Job Summary
Experienced Laborer position with Harnden Construction Services in Chambersburg, PA, performing utility- and site-construction tasks in a crew environment under a supervisor/foreperson. Responsibilities include following OSHA and safety policies, acquiring tools, staking and alignment tasks, mixing concrete, finishing concrete, installing pipes, erecting scaffolding/shoring/bracing, and supporting paving and pipe-related duties. Requires teamwork and prior laborer experience; physical endurance and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; familiarity with concrete, forms, and site utilities; and safe operation of construction equipment as directed. Required Qualifications
- One month of related experience and/or training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Problem solving
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- OSHA or other relevant safety certifications (preferred)
