Job Summary
Prepare and analyze aerobiological, environmental, and water samples for fungal, asbestos, and bacteria analysis using polarized light microscopy. Accurately enter and report analytical data into the LIMS, perform independent data reviews for other analysts, and validate laboratory results as needed. Schedule sample workloads according to due dates and hold times while completing all QA-related tasks and maintaining training documents. Coordinate projects by rush status to ensure timely delivery and assist in maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations. This full-time, 1st shift position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related science and 1-2 years of microscopy experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology or a closely related science
- 1-2 years of laboratory work experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Position is full-time Monday - Friday 1st shift
- Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Fort Lauderdale, FL
Desired Qualifications
- 8 units of Microbiology courses PREFERRED
