Job Summary
Experienced Labor & Birth RN sought at Mercy Hospital St. Louis to provide high-level maternal/newborn nursing care. Responsible for delivering safe, compassionate labor and birth care across low- and high-risk antepartum settings, with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios in Labor & Birth and 1:1 in High-Risk areas. Works with board-certified OB hospitalists, OB anesthesia, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists within a collaborative team, supported by ongoing education and leadership. Roles include assisting in deliveries, participating in antepartum and postpartum care, and contributing to a comprehensive Women’s Services program. Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ year Labor & Birth RN experience
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program
- License: Active RN license (state or compact)
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, ACLS
- Preferred: RNC-OB, C-EFM (encouraged, not required)
