Experienced Interior Trim Technician

Experienced Interior Trim Technician responsible for fabricating and assembling prototype automotive interior properties designed and/or built at Prefix Corporation. Duties include designing and fabricating automotive interior soft trim, sculpting foam components, creating patterns to cut and trim coverings for seating and interior components, leather-wrapping interior parts, measuring and cutting covering material, operating sewing machines to seam and join coverings, modifying interior designs to meet customer specifications, coordinating materials and colors, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Requires extensive background in interior prototype development (minimum 5 years), strong administrative and interpersonal skills, High School/GED, and a preferred certificate from an accredited technical or industrial trade school; candidate should be a self-starter with budgeting and resource allocation abilities. Physical demands include lifting up to 75 pounds and typical factory work conditions.
