Job Summary
Experienced Industrial Engineer at The Boeing Company, focused on expanding production capacity for training systems and improving tool control across operations and technician teams. Responsible for leading cost-reduction projects, developing and implementing assembly fixtures, supporting training-device and simulator production/integration with process analysis and improvement (cycle time reduction, rework reduction, standard work), performing work measurement and line balancing for hardware build and test activities, developing labor standards and capacity models to support staffing and surge scenarios, and building data-driven dashboards to monitor performance and drive decisions. Collaborates with Production Engineering and hardware design teams to ensure efficient, manufacturable build plans and contributes to Lean initiatives (5S, layout optimization, material flow, visual management). Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in industrial/production engineering, and experience in cost-reduction projects and reporting metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role
- 3+ years of experience in production work area layout / facility layout
- 3+ years of experience working directly with or on cost reduction initiatives
- 3+ years of combined experience supporting engineering teams developing business reports or metrics that influence decision making
