Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities and pain levels in home care settings. Design and implement treatment plans incorporating exercise, stretching, and manual therapy to enhance mobility. Track and document progress to ensure continuity of care, regularly re-evaluating patients to adjust plans based on evolving needs. Provide recommendations for assistive devices and educate patients and caregivers on proper use. Train family members on effective therapy techniques to support recovery at home. Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge through workshops and networking activities. Work with diverse populations including children recovering from sports injuries, adults with chronic pain, and elderly patients post-surgery.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (PT) from an accredited program.
- State Licensure in Physical Therapy, allowing for practice in New Jersey.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical teams.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including word processing and documentation.
- A highly flexible and adaptive approach to patient care, demonstrating agility in meeting varied patient needs.
Desired Qualifications
- While prior work experience is not necessary, any background in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is viewed favorably.
