Job Summary
Experienced High-Rise Security Guard responsible for security operations and on-site coordination in Calgary's downtown high-rise properties. Tasks include high-visibility patrols by foot, bicycle, or vehicle; responding to incidents; coordinating with law enforcement; monitoring CCTV and fire/life safety systems; dispatching security personnel; and producing detailed incident reports. Requires Alberta Security License (or ability to obtain), Grade 12 diploma, valid driver’s license, strong customer service and communication skills, and proficiency with standard office software and security technology. On-site role with rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays; compensation CA$21.00 - CA$23.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Security License or ability to obtain one
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience using CCTV systems and security technology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent written report-writing abilities
- Ability to effectively operate two-way radio systems
- Physically capable of extensive patrols exceeding 15 km per shift
- Willingness to complete all required Paladin training and certifications within three months of hire
