Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders in compliance with safety policies while conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Move and position raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment, adhering to standard operating procedures for vehicle operation. Maintain accurate records for all equipment maintenance activities and perform other duties as assigned. Work Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm with rotating Saturdays from 4:00am to 12:30pm at a waste disposal site in Washington, PA. This role is vital to WM's waste management operations, which serve over 20 million customers across the USA by recovering valuable resources and creating clean, renewable energy.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Ability to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday
- Ability to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in an environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday
