Job Summary
Perform maintenance on new and rebuilt equipment, disassembling, assembling, and installing components while diagnosing and troubleshooting engine and machine malfunctions. Test measures and adjust systems, clean and recondition parts, and order replacement components ensuring accuracy. Prepare accurate inspection, appraisal, and service reports, then communicate repair status with Service Writers and Shop Managers. Provide direction, training, and mentoring to assigned service technicians. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years experience working on Caterpillar equipment OR 4+ years heavy equipment, engine, or electric power generation system repair (EX: Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, etc.)
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 3+ years customer service experience
- Graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or earthmoving repair preferred
