Job Summary

Design, implement, integrate, modify, test, and debug spacecraft dynamic models and interface software into real-time simulations using existing sim infrastructures on VME and PCIe hardware platforms. Plan and document all development phases, including acceptance testing of simulation products, while producing design and test documentation such as program CDRLs. Collaborate with Special Test Equipment (STE) hardware teams throughout the emulator design life-cycle and interface with multi-disciplinary product teams comprising systems, ground, hardware, software, and firmware specialists. Provide end-user support for simulation operations, performance, testing, delivery, and maintenance within a rapid, agile CI/CD environment. This role supports the Boeing Defense Services business unit in building satellite simulators for U.S. government and commercial customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience with real-time/near real-time simulations packages and development
  • 3+ years' experience with modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
  • U.S. export control compliance requirements
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
  • 100% onsite work location
  • Ability to complete a technical assessment (CodeVue Coding Challenge)
  • Subject to drug testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • 9+ years of directly related work experience
  • 13+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Experience developing hardware-in-the-loop test systems
  • Experience in real time simulation testbeds and I/O device programming
  • Experience in spacecraft systems and/or subsystems
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements development through acceptance testing/certification/qualification
  • Experience automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain
  • Experience using tools such as GitLab and Bitbucket, and working in an Agile/Scrum team
