Job Summary
Define GNC mission requirements and ensure quality/traceability; perform design reviews, analyses, simulations and testing to meet customer requirements; develop nonlinear 6-DoF flight simulations using aero/mass/propulsion data; implement and test vehicle models and flight control laws using C/C++, FORTRAN, Python; apply linear and nonlinear control design techniques; validate models against test data; develop supplementary controllers and redundancy management; integrate with VMS and air data processing; participate in DO-178B/C software verification; coordinate autonomous contingency strategies across multidisciplinary teams; support flight simulations (desktop, software, real-time), hardware-in-the-loop development, and flight testing planning; assist with flight program integration and related verification activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- 3 or more years' related work experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineering
- Experience or familiarity with Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) or other PID control design
- Experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX/SystemBuild to model and simulate complex aerospace systems
