Job Summary
As a Generator Technician, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on residential and industrial generators. Responsibilities include conducting load bank testing, engine repairs, and electrical troubleshooting. You will document all test findings and provide customer service regarding needed repairs. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with mechanical system knowledge and familiarity with generator control systems being a plus. Experience with MS Office and the ability to drive in adverse conditions are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of engine and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Experience driving in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to maintain a driving record capable of maintaining a Class C license
- Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Oregon PSW Technicians are required to obtain membership in the Local 48 Union.
- Post-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted.
