Job Summary
Experienced General Mechanic role supporting Boeing Aerospace Operations on the Executive Fleet team at San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities include flight controls installation/removal/rigging, landing gear servicing, and component changes (servo pumps, filters, engine components); interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specs, and retrofit requirements for structural modifications/repairs; maintaining required certifications, licenses, and permits; ensuring safety via Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems; collaborating with Avionics, Structures, and Electrics to meet cost/schedule targets; diagnosing and correcting malfunctions in assembly processes; using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and conformance; ascending/descending ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting ~35 pounds. Role is 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX, with U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance post-start. Applicants must satisfy security requirements and may be subject to background checks and post-offer assessments.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of depot level/heavy general maintenance experience
- 10+ years of experience with aircraft exterior and interior systems including hydraulic, flight control, landing gear, fuel systems, and engines
- 10+ years of experience with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and SOPs
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit requirements
- Experience with accessing aircraft data systems
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime
- Knowledge of Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag procedures
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders and lift up to ~35 pounds
