Job Summary
Front-End Insurance Analyst in Walker & Dunlop’s Servicing department analyzes insurance coverage for commercial loans in accordance with investor guidelines, assists borrowers in acquiring appropriate coverage, and educates borrowers about coverage, exclusions, and exposure. The role provides technical support to Production/Underwriting/Closing staff in evaluating borrower needs against investor guidelines and risk, reviews investor insurance guidelines and loan documents, appraisals, seismic and environmental reports to determine loan-specific insurance requirements, processes insurance waivers/exceptions with supporting documentation, resolves non-compliant issues with borrowers and agents, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to approve coverages while meeting deadlines. The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment; it supports a hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence several days a week and remote options on other days, and it notes an approximate base salary range of $64,000 - $75,000 plus discretionary bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of insurance experience
- Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, AU, ANIS, Property & Casualty license, or equivalent is preferred
