Job Summary
Field Crew Chief - Residential Land Surveying conducts outdoor surveying duties using GPS, total stations, and data collectors to determine elevations and property boundaries for title surveys and elevation certificates. Work is performed outdoors year-round; responsibilities include data management, marking measurement points, clearing brush along survey lines, maintaining data quality, operating survey instruments, vehicle/equipment maintenance, and collaborating with managers, clients, and team members. Requires a high school diploma/GED and relevant surveying experience; candidate should be self-managed, safety-conscious, and able to handle physical tasks including lifting up to 70 pounds. Location focus around Daytona Beach, FL with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekends during peak seasons. Benefits and equal opportunity employer statements are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED diploma
- Two years job related experience in surveying
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets insurance requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with units of weight, volume, distance; understand algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
- Operate surveying instruments (total station, data collector, GPS)
- Proficient in independent use of job-related software/e-technology/cloud-based solutions
