Job Summary
The Experienced Engineering Technician will conduct field observation and testing during the placement of construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and fireproofing. Responsibilities also include soil and concrete laboratory testing. Candidates should possess a high school degree, a valid driver’s license, and at least 4 years of construction experience. Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform basic math are essential. The role requires physical capability to lift 60 pounds and work outdoors in various conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- 4+ years of construction experience
- Good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills
- Able to perform rudimentary mathematic computations
- Attention to detail
- Interest in working outdoors on construction sites
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Physically able to negotiate construction sites
- Ability to enter trenches per applicable OSHA standards
- Ability to climb ladders to access elevated spaces
- Ability to work outside in potentially challenging weather conditions
