Job Summary
Perform connector terminations for shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optics while routing and sealing wire harnesses per engineering drawings. Interpret technical orders and blueprints to execute electrical modifications and repairs on aircraft systems, utilizing tooling assemblies for depot-level work. Conduct visual inspections, operational checks, and troubleshooting of malfunctions in electrical and comms/nav systems. Operate electric elevating equipment and work in confined spaces while adhering to safety procedures. Requires 10+ years of avionics experience, FAA certification, and Secret-level security clearance. Variable shifts with overtime; $83,400 base pay plus certification adders. Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems, shop mathematics and practices
- 10+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
- 10+ years of experience with component and wire installation to include repairing, modifying, testing and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systems
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime
- Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work
- Perform all duties of lower Electrical classifications as required to successfully accomplish assignments
- Ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds
- Ability to pass an assessment during the training cycle
- Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements
- U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only
- Meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62
