Job Summary
Experienced Electrical Mechanic for B-52 program located onsite in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities include performing connector terminations on shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring; routing and harness handling; sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables per standard processes; reading and interpreting engineering drawings, orders, specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairs; using tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modification and repair of electrical wiring; assembling, installing, inspecting physical characteristics, and testing aircraft electrical and communications/navigation systems; troubleshooting maintenance-level malfunctions in aircraft electrical and comms/nav-systems; interpreting work instructions, blueprints, wire diagrams, and other documentation; operating safety procedures; coordinating movement of materials/tools; and maintaining required certifications and clearances. Must possess 10+ years of relevant experience, be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Security Clearance, and be willing to work on-site in San Antonio, TX. Shift: variable; Salary: starting at $78,000/year with potential adders for certifications; relocation not offered; visa sponsorship not provided.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems
- 10+ years of experience with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
- 10+ years of experience with component and wire installation to include repairing, modifying, testing and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systems
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain an interim/final US Secret clearance
