Job Summary
Conduct complex non-standard engineering assignments covering design, development, analysis, testing, and field problem resolution. Independently review department work products, risk assessments, and failure mode analyses while proposing solutions and adapting technical techniques for unperformed tasks. Evaluate electrical systems against standards and oversee field installations, integration, and troubleshooting. Provide process improvement suggestions and participate in technical communications with internal customers. Manage capital appropriations, cost, and schedule for electrical craft resources on special projects as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Displays leadership characteristics
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
- Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role
- Instrumentation & controls and/or power systems experience
- Design/program industrial PLCs - specifically Allen-Bradley
- Evaluate electrical systems toward applicable electrical standards, human factors, installation/cost, and maintenance best practices
- Oversee field work including new installations, integration into existing systems, and troubleshooting
- Project Management experience - capital appropriations, cost, schedule. Managing electrical craft resources
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
