Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain micropile drill rigs and related drilling equipment in accordance with company safety practices and project requirements. Perform drilling operations for micropiles, drilled piles, and foundation work, confirming layout matches approved plans before starting. Read project drawings, specifications, and layout information while monitoring depth, alignment, and installation quality. Adjust techniques based on soil, rock, and site conditions, then assist with casing, reinforcement, grouting, and equipment maintenance. Complete daily reports, logs, and inspection forms accurately. Communicate with foremen, superintendents, engineers, and crew members to support safe, productive work. Maintain a clean work area and follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- strong equipment operation skills
- the ability to read and follow project plans and specifications
- a working knowledge of preferred drilled pile installation methods
- Experience with Comacchio drill rigs
